POCATELLO — A man using a stolen credit card for several transactions — including paying court fees — has been sent on a rider.
Jeffrey Jamel Debuck, 22, entered a guilty plea for felony fraud by possession of a stolen bank card after reaching a plea agreement with the Bannock County Prosecutor’s Office. In exchange, a second fraud charge and two felonies for grand theft were dismissed.
At an April sentencing hearing, District Judge Robert Naftz sent Debuck on a rider with an underlying prison sentence of two to five years.

A rider program is where a judge sends a person to prison for up to a year to undergo different treatment programs. When the inmate has completed the program, the judge can then decide to send them back to prison for their sentence or release them on probation.
Debuck was arrested in January after he was tied to numerous fraudulent transactions made using a stolen credit card.
Among the fraudulent transactions were four payments made at the Bannock County Courthouse for a total of $1,090.38. Those payments went toward fees and fines assessed by the court after Debuck was convicted of fraudulent use of a stolen credit card in 2020.
In addition to the rider, Debuck has been ordered to pay $704.98 in fees and fines.
