Patrick Kielty is set to return to the Late Late Show this Friday, following the recent passing of his mother Mary. The host's loss came just hours after he finished presenting last week's show, with her funeral held on Monday.

This Friday, Kielty will be at the helm of a St Patrick's Day special in anticipation of the bank holiday weekend. The studio will be brimming with sporting heroes, talented singers and an array of dancers to commemorate the iconic Irish celebration.

The 1990 Republic of Ireland squad will reconvene on The Late Late Show this Friday night to reminisce about one of Ireland's most memorable sporting years - Italia 90. Celebrating 35 years since Ireland's first World Cup qualification, Patrick will welcome Mick McCarthy, Niall Quinn, Packie Bonner, Ronnie Whelan, Ray Houghton, John Aldridge, Kevin Sheedy, David O'Leary, Andy Townsend, Chris Hughton, Chris Morris, Steve Staunton, Kevin Moran, Bernie Slaven, John Sheridan, Frank Stapleton and David Kelly to the studio.

Riverdance will also take centre stage in The Late Late Show studio on Friday night as the cast exhibits the global sensation that originated as an interval act during the Eurovision Song Contest in 1994. The Late Late Show will pay tribute to the show that has become an Irish success story, captivating millions worldwide.

Grammy Award-winning Cork singer-songwriter, Cian Ducrot, is set to grace the show with a performance of his new song, 'Little Dreaming'. Fresh off the back of performing the National Anthems at last week's Six Nations, Cian, who recently announced his first headline gig at the 3Arena later this year, will also join Patrick for a chat this Friday night, reports RSVP Live.
