Patrick Kielty, the much-loved host of The Late Late Show, has had to delay his anticipated stand-up performances in Dublin's coveted Vicar Street due to unforeseen clashes with his filming schedule. Set to deliver his show Borderline on 6 and 7 June, the unfortunate clash means fans will have to wait a little longer to see him live.
A representative for Vicar Street announced: "Due to filming commitments, we regret that Patrick has had to postpone these events."
They added optimistically, "We look forward to rescheduling these dates as soon as possible. In the meantime, all ticket holders will receive a full refund."

The funnyman from Dundrum, who kicked off his comedy career hosting Belfast's premier comedy club, The Empire Laughs Back, during the '90s, promised a triumphant return to Vicar Street after nearly two decades. His highly-anticipated show was teased as "an ode to peace, borders and identity in a world turned upside down."
Kielty, when first announcing this show, voiced that one should only hit the stage if "you've actually got something to say". In a conversation with The Irish News a couple of years back, he reflected on the catalyst behind his latest routine, saying: "The thing that's really driven this show and really changed things for me is that politics in these islands has changed because of Brexit.", reports the Irish Mirror.
He underlined the significance of the moment, elaborating: "Northern Ireland is now very much at the epicentre of what's going on in a wider political arena. I think the lessons we have learned here, how we look at borders and live alongside people who are 'different' to us and how that makes these islands work – or, sometimes, not work – are actually pretty pertinent to a wider audience right now."
