One incumbent, one newcomer win Pocatello/Chubbuck school board trustee seats

POCATELLO — A local school district voted in a new candidate and an incumbent to its board of trustees.

Pocatello/Chubbuck School District 25 had two trustee elections Tuesday.

Incumbent Jim Facer won his election for School Board Trustee Zone 3 with 56% of the vote, beating out Martin Simmons, who brought in 44% of the vote.

Facer earned 864 votes to Simmons’ 685.

For School Board Trustee Zone 4, Raymond G. Knoff won with 56% — 951 votes — of the vote. His opponent, Marty Vizcarra, netted 44% — 755 votes.

The new School Board Trustees’ terms will start in January.
