4 confirmed tornadoes in Panhandle
FLORIDA – Multiple tornadoes touched down this week amid severe storms in the Florida Panhandle, according to the National Weather Service.
The NWS confirmed at least four touchdowns in the Panhandle on Tuesday, including one EF-3 in Panama City.
Storms tore through the area, causing severe damage and injuring at least a dozen people.
Homes were flattened, trees were knocked down and power outages were reported in both coastal and inland areas.
Despite all the damage, no storm-related deaths have been reported in Florida.
The NWS is still surveying the area to determine whether more tornadoes have touched down.
