A Co Down leisure centre has suffered significant damage as a result of Storm Éowyn as strong winds continue to batter Northern Ireland.
The roof has come off a section of the Bangor Aurora Aquatic and Leisure Complex with Ards and North Down Borough Council urging the public to avoid the area for their own safety.
The centre was previously damaged during Storm Arwen in 2021 but it is understood that the latest damage occurred in a different section of the roof.

A spokesperson for Ards and North Down Borough Council said: "Bangor Aurora Aquatic and Leisure Complex, owned by Ards and North Down Borough Council and managed by Northern Community Leisure Trust, has sustained damage due to Storm Éowyn.
"In accordance with the Red Warning period directives, the building was closed when the damage occurred and no formal assessment will be conducted until it is safe for our staff and contractors to do so.
"We would ask that the public avoid the area and refrain from taking photographs or videos for their own safety."
