A NI chef and blogger has appeared on Loose Women to chat about his new book and to put Frankie Bridge's culinary skills to the test.

Portadown man Nathan Anthony, with his social pages named Bored of Lunch, has 2.6million followers on Instagram and over 13million likes on his TikTok videos.

He also has five Sunday Times #1 Bestselling Books. His latest book features a series of six ingredient slow cooker recipes.

Nathan appeared on the ITV show on Monday and chatted to panellists Kaye Adams, Frankie Bridge, Linda Robson and Myleene Klass.

Posting on Instagram on Monday morning, the NI man said: "This bunch wanted lunch and a chat about the new book. Catch me on @loosewomen today for all things Christmas leftovers and a toastie cook off with @frankiebridge..."

On the show, Nathan was called the "king of the air fryer" and gave some tips on what to do with the last of your Christmas food leftovers rather than waste them.

The Saturdays singer and the Northern Irish chef took part in a 'festive feast off', making Christmas-themed toasties in the air fryer.

Speaking to Nathan, Frankie said: "You move fast, don't you?" He replied: "Don't I? Talk fast as well, can you imagine if it was me, Christine and Gloria on here and we all said 'urr fryer'."

The social media personality also shared some tips, with Kaye asking: "So when do you use an air fryer and when do you use a slow cooker Nathan?"

He said: "Slow cookers for big cuts of meat. What we've done with this one, we've taken all the leftover chocolates, put them in with milk and a dash on vanilla and then if you are hosting on New Year's Eve, you've a lovely hot chocolate for a large group. You can do curries, stews, pastas, risottos. I would use it quite a lot."

Discussing his his new book, Nathan added: "Six ingredients, slow cooker, every single recipe." Panellist Linda Robson joked: "How many ingredients? 'Sex' or 'six?'"

As the audience laughed, the NI blogger said: "I knew this would happen. Me and Linda were backstage and she was like, 'say this in your accent, say this...'"
