Rangers are on the hunt for a new manager following the departure of Philippe Clement. The Belgian was sacked following Saturday's 2-0 defeat to St Mirren at Ibrox.
It was the latest depressing result for the Glasgow club this season, and for many the writing was on the wall for Clement.
Now Ibrox officials are targeting a new manager, and a number of names feature in the early betting including former captain and legendary midfielder Barry Ferguson. He is reportedly on the brink of a sensational return.
Ferguson is the current 5/4 favourite with Gambling.com, and could be joined in the dugout at Ibrox by Neil McCann and Kevin Thomson with a first game post Clement coming at Rugby Park under the lights against Kilmarnock on Wednesday.
He is followed in the betting by Issame Charai (5/1) who acted as Clement's assistant during his time at the helm.
Another name ranked 5/1 is Steven Gerrard, who famously led Rangers to their last Scottish Premiership title in 2021.
Sean Dyche and Everton parted company just hours before the Toffees beat Peterborough 2-0 to advance to the FA Cup fourth round in January. If he decides to get back into management, Dyche can be backed at 8/1.
Other names in the conversation include Derek McInnes (10/1), Gareth Southgate (10/1), John Terry (14/1) and David Wagner (20/1).
