A new name has emerged as the frontrunner to become Rangers ' next permanent manager. The Ibrox club is limping towards the end of another miserable campaign and many fans are already looking to the future.
Barry Ferguson came in as interim boss following the sacking of Philippe Clement. He is still in the frame to take over the reins on a full-time basis.
Other names being linked with the post include former manager Steven Gerrard and Northern Ireland legend Steven Davis, who has previously acted as caretaker boss.
But the new man at the head of the betting is Russell Martin. He has been out of work since being sacked as Southampton boss earlier this season.
The 39-year-old previously managed Milton Keynes Dons and Swansea City.
Martin is rated 7/2 with Bet365, followed by Ferguson and Gerrard (both 9/2).
Next comes Marco Rose (5/1) who was most recently manager of German side RB Leipzig, and then former Chelsea and Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho (10/1).
Ex-midfielder Davis is 16/1 with other outsiders including Rafa Benitez and Sean Dyche.
