New mum brings plane passengers to tears with adorable gesture

A man was reduced to tears by a kindhearted new mum on a long-haul flight who presented him with a 'goodie bag' as she travelled with her newborn baby.

In the heartwarming clip that's taken social media by storm, a plane passenger shared his behind-the-scenes seat experience, where he initially braced himself for a less than smooth ride due to the infant's presence.

Defying expectations, prior to take-off, the mum handed out 'goodie bags', fully aware of the potential challenges of flying with a newborn not just for herself but for fellow passengers too.

Overwhelmed by the gesture, he took to social media to express his gratitude: "I want to cry. A mum and her newborn in front of me on the plane gave me this. She's already so busy and took the time to make these bags for everyone."

The 'goodie bag' offered a mix of chocolates and candies coupled with a note saying: "It's my first flight. I made a deal to be on my best behaviour - but I can't make any guarantees.

"I might cry if I get scared or if my ears start to hurt. Here are some treats to make your flight enjoyable! Thank you for being patient with us. Have a great flight."

This endearing tale quickly spread across Instagram, shared by Good News Movement, eliciting waves of positive feedback from an empathetic audience.

Among the many supportive comments, a user reflected on their own recent experience, posting: "As a new mum who just took her 10-week-old on a flight, there is so much anxiety about how your baby will react on a flight.

"Some people are so kind and understanding while others are so awful. Trust me, if that baby cries, we are way more uncomfortable than you (most likely mortified)."

Another user chimed in: "I totally did this the first time I flew with my baby Twins, and ironically the woman behind us was still a complete brat but everyone else was great! ! It's so stressful!! Mamas, you're doing great!".

A third added their view: "Sweet but I wish we could all just agree that babies are allowed to exist in the world without apology."

Yet another user shared their perspective: "Wow. This says everything about how our society treats mothers."

One commenter noted: "I did that too when I travel with my kids. I stop giving that since my kids are three and four-years-old.

"Trust me, it was so stressful for the parents, but turned out that all passengers around us were so kind. They even offered me help in case I needed some."
