Cheyenne Mathis last seen in Gainesville, may be with man
ALACHUA COUNTY, Fla. – A Florida missing child alert was issued Tuesday for a 12-year-old girl who missed her school bus, according to sheriff’s officials.
Cheyenne Mathis was last seen in the area of 3200th block of SW 27th Street in Gainesville.
The Alachua County Sheriff’s Office said on Facebook the girl did not get on her school bus Tuesday morning.
She was described as 5 feet tall and 100 pounds. Her hair may be straightened or in a ponytail. She was last seen wearing pink pants, a brown shirt and possibly has a backpack.
According to the alert from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Cheyenne may be in the company of a man in his 20s or 30s, but no other information about the man was released.
Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
