The Met Office has issued a weather warning for Northern Ireland, which is warning of disruption to transport. A yellow alert for strong winds is in place on Friday morning for several hours.
In the warning issued on Wednesday, an alert highlighted potential delays to road, rail, air and ferry transport. Bus and train services may also be affected, a spokesperson added.
"Strong and gusty southerly winds may cause disruption to transport and infrastructure," the Met Office continued.
"Some delays to road, rail, air and ferry transport are likely. It’s likely that some coastal routes, sea fronts and coastal communities will be affected by spray and/or large waves.
"Probably some bus and train services affected, with some journeys taking longer. Some short term loss of power and other services is possible. Delays for high-sided vehicles on exposed routes and bridges likely."
The yellow alert for wind will come into effect at 6am on Friday, February 21 February and will go through to 10am.
Weather-wise tonight, it will be cloudy this evening with rain spreading northeast across all areas for a time. Then staying cloudy with a few showers overnight. Windy with gales along the north and east coast.
It will be a cloudy start with some rain tomorrow, then brightening up with a few showers for the rest of the day. Brisk southwesterly winds. It will be wet and windy on Friday, drier in the evening. Bright on Saturday with a few showers. Further wind and rain on Sunday.
