Shooting happened near Maricamp Road, Emerald Road

MARION COUNTY, Fla. – Law enforcement officials are on the scene of a deputy-involved shooting in the Silver Springs Shores area of Marion County on Tuesday evening.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office posted on social media saying deputies and detectives are on the scene near Maricamp Road and Emerald Road following the shooting.

No other details were release at this time.
