A man is due to appear in court charged with assault and other offences following an alleged hate crime in West Belfast.
A 31-year-old man is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates' Court on Friday, April 25, in connection with an incident in the John Street area of the city on Thursday, March 27.
It was reported that a man suffered arm injuries after allegedly being attacked with a metal dog lead after being subjected to racist verbal abuse.

A man, 31, has since been arrested in connection with the incident and charged with aggravated burglary and attempting to inflict Grievous Bodily Harm, possessing an offensive weapon in a public place and two counts of common assault.
A PSNI spokesperson said: "Detectives investigating an aggravated burglary and assault in west Belfast have charged a man.
"The 31-year-old man has been charged with aggravated burglary and attempting to inflict Grievous Bodily Harm, possessing an offensive weapon in a public place and two counts of common assault. He is due before Belfast Magistrates' Court on Friday, 25th April.
"The charges relate to a report, being treated as racially-motivated hate crime, in the John Street area on Thursday, 27th March.
"As is usual procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service."
