Man shot and killed in Inverrary neighborhood of Lauderhill

A man was shot and killed Sunday morning in the Inverrary neighborhood of Lauderhill.

Someone called 911 before noon Sunday, reporting gunfire at 3751 Environ Blvd., near Environ Cultural Center. Police dispatchers called it out over the radio as potentially a shooting between two people — one in a U-Haul truck with an Arizona tag, and the other in a white Chevy Silverado.

But Lauderhill police released scant details Sunday.

Lauderhill Major Michael Santiago said that at the scene, a man was “unresponsive and suffering from what appeared to be gunshot wounds.”

The man, who Santiago did not identify, was taken to Broward Health Medical Center, where he died. Santiago said the agency does not yet know the motive or who the suspect is.
