Man found with suspected crystal meth and cocaine in his underwear at Belfast bus station

A man was founded with suspected crystal meth along with cocaine in his underwear after acting suspiciously near a Belfast bus station.

Officers from the PSNI's Safe Transport Team were patrolling close to Laganside Bus Station in the City Centre on Tuesday, March 11, when they noticed a male cyclist acting suspiciously and spoke to him.

Following a search of the man, two bags of suspected crystal meth were found and following his arrest officers also discovered cocaine that had been hidden in his underwear.

The man currently remains in police custody.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "This afternoon an officer from the Safe Transport Team patrolling nearby Laganside Bus Station observed a male cyclist acting suspiciously.

"Police spoke to the male, searched him under the Misuse of Drugs Act and located two bags of suspected crystal methamphetamine. The male was arrested for Possession of Class A Drugs. A quantity of suspected Cocaine, which had been concealed in the male's underwear, was also located.

"The male remains in Police Custody where he will be investigated for drug related offences."
