Detectives investigating a report of a serious assault in Co Down on Tuesday, have charged a man to court.
The alleged incident is reported to have happened in the Breezemount Close area of Conlig on January 7. A 54-year-old man has been charged with assisting offenders and is due to appear before Newtownards Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, Friday, January 10.
A PSNI spokesperson said as is usual procedure all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
"The investigation into the circumstances is continuing and detectives are keen to reiterate their appeal to the public to come forward with any information they may have, particularly those who may have witnessed the assault," the PSNI statement added.
