M1 motorway closed after crash as knock-on delays expected - LIVE updates

The M1 has been closed in both directions after a crash on Saturday afternoon.

Motorists are advised to find an alternative route after a road traffic collision at the M1 Westbound before the motorway services.

TrafficWatch NI has confirmed the motorway is now fully closed around where the crash occurred and there are major knock-on delays.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "Motorists are advised to expect delays this afternoon, Saturday 29th March, following a road traffic collision at the M1 Westbound just before the motorway services."

TrafficWatch NI said: "M1 Closed in both directions at Services - Seek an Alt route at this time."
