LX Hausys included in global sustainability indexes for 10th straight year

LX Hausys has been included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) for the 10th consecutive year, highlighting its consistent commitment to sustainable practices in residential interior construction projects.

The inclusion makes LX Hausys the lone Korean interior company to earn this recognition.

According to LX Hausys, Tuesday, it was recognized in the DJSI Korea assessment for its strong environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) practices. The company also highlighted that it is the only interior construction company in the country to be included in the list this year.

Having secured a spot in the annual listing for the 10th consecutive year since 2015, the achievement further solidifies the company’s commitment to ESG practices.

DJSI Korea has recognized LX Hausys for its efforts in obtaining government certification for its environmental management system and transparently sharing the details of the certification process with the public. The company also received praise for its initiatives to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and for training its employees to become well-versed in environmental management practices.

Last year, the company reduced its greenhouse gas emissions by 6 percent compared to the previous year. Since 2019, it has been progressively reducing emissions by streamlining its work processes, cutting energy consumption and expanding the use of renewable energy sources.

Earlier this year, the company received an "A" grade from the Korea Institute of Corporate Governance and Sustainability (KCGS) for the ninth consecutive year. According to LX Hausys, the KCGS is the highest authority in Korea for ESG management assessments of companies.

“Our position in the latest DJSI Korea index proves our global leadership in ESG management,” an LX Hausys official said. “It is our objective to sustain our ESG management that attracts praise from beyond Korea.”
