Live updates as public asked to avoid 'police operation' in Lurgan

Police are currently in attendance at an incident in Lurgan this afternoon as the public are being asked to "stay clear" of the area.

There have been reports of a "large police presence" due to an ongoing operation in the Larkfield Square area of the Co Armagh town this afternoon.

The nature of the incident is not yet known and members of the public have been asked to avoid the area.

Alderman Stephen Moutray said on social media: "Police operation ongoing at Larkfield Square, Lurgan. Please stay clear."
