LIG Nex1, a Korean precision-guided missiles and weapons manufacturer, said Tuesday it has introduced its long-range surface-to-air missile (L-SAM) system to UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan at the IDEX 2025 defense exhibition in Abu Dhabi.
During his visit to the LIG Nex1 booth at the exhibition on Monday (local time), the president of the United Arab Emirates was briefed on the company's multilayered air defense solution by LIG Group Chairman Koo Bon-sang.
LIG Nex1 emphasized that its cutting-edge missile defense capabilities, currently in operation with the Korean military, could be delivered with equivalent performance to potential buyers.
"The ability to provide the same high-performance systems used by the Korean military is a significant factor for potential purchasing countries," an LIG Nex1 official said.
The official added that LIG Nex1 will continue to work closely with the Korean government and defense industry partners to sign export contracts that could benefit the country. (Yonhap)
