LG CNS said Thursday that it has joined software giant SAP’s Regional Strategic Services Partner (RSSP) initiative, becoming the first Korean company to do so.
The initiative, established in 2023 by SAP Asia-Pacific Japan, aims to strengthen capabilities and broaden the reach of rapidly growing partners in the Asia-Pacific region. SAP is a European software company known as the world's largest vendor of business application software.
LG CNS, the information technology systems division of LG Group, is the fourth partner in the RSSP initiative, following Japan's Fujitsu, ABeam Consulting and Vietnam’s FPT Software.
The signing ceremony took place on Jan. 22 in Singapore, with Nae Han-shin, senior vice president of LG CNS’s Enterprise Solutions Divison, Paul Marriott, president of SAP Asia-Pacific, and Utkarsh Maheshwari, head of SAP’s Global Partner Sales and Services in attendance.
Through this partnership, LG CNS intends to aggressively expand its cloud enterprise resource planning (ERP) business throughout the Asia-Pacific region. Since signing a strategic partnership at SAP's headquarters in Walldorf, Germany, in 2023, LG CNS has continuously strengthened its collaboration to drive innovation in cloud ERP services.
“We will actively support customers in the Asia-Pacific region to innovate their businesses through cloud ERP,” Nae said.
“We aim to enhance customer value with LG CNS's AX capabilities and solutions.”
Maheshwari said, “SAP has a vibrant and fast-growing partner ecosystem in the region. Many of our [Asia-Pacific]-headquartered partners have thousands of SAP-certified consultants worldwide, delivering hundreds of SAP-related projects every year. We have a unique opportunity to do more with our regional partners and drive more innovations and benefits to customers."
Meanwhile, the company said later in the day that its revenue for 2024 was 5.98 trillion won ($4.13 billion), with an operating profit of 512.9 billion won, reflecting an increase of 6.7 percent and 10.5 percent, respectively, compared to the previous year.
In the fourth quarter of last year, it reported revenues of 2.02 trillion won and an operating profit of 201 billion won, marking a 6.2 percent and 1.1 percent increase, respectively, compared to the same period last year.
