Investigators responded near NE 108th Circle and NE 89th Drive

SUMTER COUNTY, Fla. – There is a large gathering of law enforcement in The Villages due to a “barricaded subject” on Thursday afternoon, according to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said that law enforcement agents were responding to the area of NE 108th Circle and NE 89th Drive due to reports about the barricade.

Residents are urged to avoid the area at this time.
