Large numbers turned out at counter rallies at Belfast City Hall on Sunday.
Anti-immigration protesters gathered at the building’s main entrance while a counter-protest went ahead at the far side of the gates.
In line with previous anti-immigration protests, that have seen people travel from the Republic, both tricolours and union flags were being held aloft along with anti-immigration messages.
The counter-rally saw a number of trade union banners as well as placards with messages including ‘Racists Go Home’. There was also a ‘Jesus Saves’ element at the protest as well as a large police presence. The PSNI has not yet released any statement on the protests, however images from the events show one man being detained by officers.
