PHILADELPHIA — The Miami Heat could gain a guard and lose a guard for their game against the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday night.
Veteran point guard Kyle Lowry was upgraded to questionable for the game, while Tyler Herro was added to the injury report with a right rib contusion. Herro is listed as questionable for the game.
Lowry has missed Miami’s past eight games with left knee soreness, last playing on Feb. 2. Lowry is averaging 12.0 points, 5.3 assists and 4.3 rebounds in 44 games this season.
Herro was a key contributor Saturday night toward getting Miami back into the game after falling behind by 22 points to Charlotte. He scored 33 points and made 6 of 12 threes in the Heat’s 108-103 loss to the Hornets.
The 23-year-old shooting guard, who missed Miami’s past two games before the All-Star break with a knee bruise, is averaging 20.7 points, 5.7 rebounds and 4.4 assists in 47 games this season.

Kevin Love was listed as probable with a hyperextended left knee. Love suffered the injury against Milwaukee on Friday but started anyway on Saturday, recording a double-double.
Forward Nikola Jovic (lower back stress reaction) and center Omer Yurtseven (left ankle surgery) were both listed as out.
Former Heat center Dewayne Dedmon will not get the chance to get any revenge on Miami for trading him, at least not yet.
Dedmon, who spent parts of three seasons with the Heat, was ruled out for the 76ers game against Miami due to left hip soreness.
The Heat traded Dedmon to San Antonio on Feb. 7, receiving cash considerations in return. The Spurs released the 33-year-old Dedmon two days later, and Philadelphia signed him on Feb. 14.
Dedmon has yet to play for his new team due to his hip injury.
Philadelphia also listed slam dunk contest winner Mac McClung and Louis Mack as out and currently with the 76ers G-League team, the Delaware Blue Coats.
