Korea Blockchain Week (KBW), the largest Web3 event in Korea, returns to Seoul this September, blockchain consulting firm and host Factblock said Thursday. Thousands of participants, including global industry leaders, will gather to discuss blockchain, artificial intelligence (AI) and the regulatory landscape.

The event will take place from Sept. 21 to 27 across Seoul, with its main conference, KBW 2025: IMPACT, scheduled for Sept. 23 to 24 at Walkerhill Hotels & Resorts in eastern Seoul's Gwangjin District. This marks the event's eighth edition, which first launched in 2018.

The conference will explore key topics such as Web3, gaming, real-world assets (RWA) and industry trends. Discussions will also cover regulatory changes following the launch of the Trump administration and the impact of quantum computing on the blockchain industry.

Factblock said the event aims to position Seoul as a global hub for Web3 innovation and investment by highlighting real-world applications of Web3 and fostering international collaboration. Participants will also have access to abundant networking opportunities, side events and cultural experiences.

In 2024, 35 percent of attendees came from outside Korea, bridging the local and global Web3 industries. The event saw over 17,000 participants, 2,800 corporations, 340 speakers and 330 side events — making it the largest in its history.

"With AI, RWA and decentralized finance evolving faster than ever, KBW 2025 will host in-depth discussions on the future of Web3, virtual asset regulations and institutional investors' role in the market," Jeon Seon-ik, founder and CEO of Factblock, said. "Through these discussions, KBW 2025 aims to establish itself as a global hub, driving the next phase of Web3 innovation."
