The King and Queen are continuing their tour of Northern Ireland on Friday. Arriving on Wednesday, King Charles and Queen Camilla took part in numerous engagements across the region, stopping in Belfast first.
This morning, the Royal couple arrived in Banbridge, Co Down for their third day of engagements. Hundreds of people gathered in the streets held bouquets and waved flags as they arrived.
Charles is meeting with local business representatives at Banbridge Old Town Hall while Camilla is visiting the town’s library.
Yesterday, Camilla and Charles hosted separate receptions at Hillsborough Castle in Co Down. Charles met with young people taking part in Co-operation Ireland’s future leaders programme while Camilla hosted a reception for survivors of domestic abuse and those who work to support them.
Camilla spoke to survivors of domestic abuse and joined charities including Women’s Aid Northern Ireland, Nexus Northern Ireland, Victim Support Northern Ireland, and The Rowan at Hillsborough Castle.
