Justin Timberlake was arrested on Monday night for driving while intoxicated in the Hamptons, according to reports.
The singer is expected to appear in court on Tuesday after he was taken into custody in Sag Harbor, New York, Good Morning America reported. A police spokesperson confirmed the 43-year-old star’s arrest to Newsday, while a Sag Harbor Justice Court official told the newspaper that he would be arraigned there later Tuesday.
Timberlake, who is currently touring, met friends at a hotel in Sag Harbor on Monday night for dinner, according to TMZ. The outlet claims he then got in his car at around 12:30 a.m. to drive to the place where he was staying, with authorities pulling him over “almost immediately” after he got behind the wheel.
