JB Financial honored for excellence in transparency as listed firm

JB Financial Group was named an outstanding listed firm of 2024 for its transparency and credibility in providing corporate information to investors, the company said Thursday.

Headquartered in Jeonju, North Jeolla Province, JB Financial Group was previously honored for excellence in observing rules on disclosure in 2014.

The 2024 recognition further draws investors’ attention as it comes at a time when the government has been bolstering efforts to boost the undervalued domestic stock market.

JB Financial Group said it was one of eight publicly traded firms selected by the Korea Exchange (KRX) for excellence in 2024.

“We will continue to faithfully comply with the KRX rules by strengthening the capabilities of our disclosure team,” JB Financial Group Chief Financial Officer Song Jong-keun said.

The country’s sole bourse operator, the KRX, selects companies that have contributed to enhancing transparency and corporate trust by providing accurate and timely disclosure of information to investors.

The recognition is based on a comprehensive evaluation that includes quantitative and qualitative factors.

The benefits for the selected companies include a five-year exemption from being designated as an unfaithful disclosure company and exemptions from exchange fees and additional listing fees for one year.
