It may have been the 11th time Jamie Mulgrew got his hands on the Gibson Cup but Saturday's trophy presentation felt as special to the Linfield captain as the first.
Incredibly Mulgrew has won almost a fifth of all Blues' Irish League titles during a 20-year stay stay at Windsor Park.
But even at 38-years-old that hunger shows no sign of diminishing as he is already looking forward to next season.
"I'm a determined b****r," Mulgrew said with a smile when asked about what drives him. "Being determined, not wanting to be beat and always wanting to be successful, that's what drives me on.
"That's why I'm still here and still have a drive to win things. I never take being here for granted or fed up of winning matches and going out there to try and continue being the best.
"I'm 39 in June but it doesn't stop me from being hungry and determined to be the best. I continue to enjoy it, continue to train hard and give myself the best opportunity to play.
"We turn up every day and I leave everything out there while trying to be an example. I stand in training and shout and probably fall out with people and they probably call me all the names under the sun, but it's for everyone's benefit.
"I know I can be a nightmare and even the manager and I fall out...I'm shouting at him, but that's because I'm hungry and determined to win and be successful.
"We've a great changing room there, a great bunch of people and that showed with the way we've won the league."
Mulgrew's achievements will be forever etched in Linfield history alongside the club greats of yesteryear and he is forever thankful to former boss David Jeffrey for being "true to his word" when he first joined the blues.
"I think if you asked Noel Bailie if he expected to win 10 league titles, he would say no too because I'm sure he also came into a Linfield team that was really successful," said Mulgrew.
"I did the same and I looked ahead thinking 'flip, have I done the right thing here and am I going to get a chance?'.
"When I signed here back then, all I wanted was for someone to say 'if you're good enough you'll get a chance' and David Jeffrey did.
"He was very true to his word. He gave me a chance but it was down to me to prove I was good enough to get a chance and the rest is history really."
