Dean McCullough was spotted with a nasty-looking injury as he bailed out of yet another Bushtucker trial on this year's series of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! The Northern Irish radio presenter, despite a strong start in his third consecutive trial following a previous poor run with just two stars from two trials, succumbed to panic after being doused with fish guts and yelled 'I'm a celebrity, get me out of here'.
After the trial, viewers could see what seemed like "blood" on his face, sparking concern amongst his fans that it wasn't just fish guts. With a tally of only four stars to his name, social media buzzed with chatter about his apparent gash.
One Twitter user sympathised: "Bless him for getting 4 stars tho. Also, has anyone noticed that Dean has cut his lip," and another posted: "Has Dean cut his lip?" A third pondered over how the injury occurred: "Why is Dean's mouth bleeding? Spider bite?"

In this daring episode, Dean ventured into the jungle's scientific research centre, starting in the experimentation zone with two minutes to earn two stars, but anxiety soon took over. Despite his initial brisk pace to grab four stars and his requests to Ant and Dec to remain in the dark about the creatures joining him, he hit breaking point with the arrival of the fish guts.
Despite Ant's significant grimaces hinting at the ordeal, Dean decided enough was enough, reports the Mirror. Ant was livid when the fish guts proved too much and Dean called it quits almost immediately during the trial. Just before, Ant had cautioned him to stay focused, a contrast to his previous trials.
During the task, Ant kept urging a terrified Dean to look at what was in the box despite knowing he was scared. Dean, from Newtownabbey in the south-east of County Antrim, shouted out almost in tears, telling Ant: "You're sick! I don't want to look."
Despite Dean's low star count in the tasks, his mum Ann still sees him as her champion.
Chatting with the Mirror, 55-year-old Ann expressed that Dean is giving his all and she suspects he'd be his own harshest critic regarding his trial efforts: "The trials have been tough, and he'll be beating himself up over it," she remarked. "He just needs to remember to do his best and have fun. I'm so proud of him. He is so loved and we are all cheering him on."
She also shared the wisdom she imparted to him before his Australian adventure.
Ann advised: "As his mother I gave him special things to remember – how much he is loved, to remember where he's from, to be himself, no cursing and to do his best and have fun. And to do a Myleene Klass in the shower! Words can't describe how proud I am."
