I'm A Celebrity hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly couldn't hide their astonishment during Monday's episode as Dean McCullough broke a show trend.
Up until recently, Dean consistently found himself tackling the feared Bushtucker Trials with little to no success, often returning to camp empty-handed.
In last week's Sinister Sarcophagus challenge, Dean quickly uttered the iconic phrase: "I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!" and similarly, in Drown in the Dumps alongside GK Barry, they failed to secure any stars.
But on Monday evening, Dean embarked on his sixth trial, Jack and the Scream Stalk, which involved a daunting heights challenge featuring a giant beanstalk and a castle.
The presenters detailed that 12 numbered stars were available, which Dean needed to collect sequentially within 12 minutes. His task began by scaling the beanstalk, retrieving stars amidst obstacles, reports the Express.
At the summit, he was tasked with assembling a golden egg before advancing to the castle for the remaining stars.
As Dean ascended, he braved hell holes filled with green ants, cockroaches, giant mealworms, and spiders to claim each star. He then assembled the golden egg, marking the fifth star in his challenging ascent.
Finally, the castle was his last hurdle, where the remaining seven stars were at stake. Dean had to scale the castle wall to access each of the hell holes.
However, as Dean ascended higher on the castle wall and it started to tilt, he exhausted his strength to hold on. Consequently, he let go of the hand holds, resulting in a dramatic fall and missing out on the final two stars.
Presenters Ant and Dec were astounded by the feat, applauding Dean for his personal best score of 10 out of 12 stars. A jubilant Dean then returned to camp to share the good news.
