Fans of I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! were fuming after campmate Dean McCullough had a confrontation with fellow contestant Melvin Odoom in the much-awaited series reunion.
Coming together a week following the final that saw McFly's Danny Jones take the title of King of the Jungle, this year's group met up for their last collective screen appearance.
Tensions flared during the reunion episode as Radio DJ Dean initiated a tough conversation with Melvin, expressing his grievances about their experiences in the jungle.
The situation escalated when Melvin jokingly referred to Dean as 'Houdini' due to his habit of vanishing when chores were due.
Despite Melvin attempting to defuse the situation by explaining, "Me calling you Houdini was me telling you I needed help.", reports the Express.
Dean was clearly offended and retorted, "Tell that to the papers."
On X, which replaced Twitter, viewers leapt to Melvin's defence. Comments flowed in, with one user stating, "Dean needs to get a grip! It was a joke; get over it!"
While another criticised, "Dean's true colours well and truly on show now," and a third voiced, "#ImACelebrity #ComingOutShow Dean isn't coming across well...didn't on the actual show and isn't on this."
Yet, not all feedback was negative, and some fans spoke up for Dean. A supporter pointed out, "#imaceleb, why can't people just leave Dean alone? He wasn't the worst one to be on that show."
The uncomfortable exchange between Dean and Melvin left some viewers feeling uneasy, with one tweeting, "Please tell me that the Dean and Melvin scene was like a skit because...mate, I'm embarrassed,".
The latest season of I'm A Celebrity featured a star-studded line-up including TV personality Coleen Rooney, TikTok star GK Barry, dancer Oti Mabuse, N-Dubz singer Tulisa Contostavlos, Corrie's Alan Halsall, boxing legend Barry McGuigan and journalist Jane Moore.
