I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! contestant Coleen Rooney has revealed her struggles in the jungle after coming second place. The famous WAG was runner-up to Danny Jones, who was crowned King Of The Jungle in a thrilling finale.

After her exit, Coleen appeared on Monday's (December 9) episode of ITV's popular breakfast show Good Morning Britain with hosts Susanna Reid and Richard Madeley. The conversation quickly turned to the lack of food in the jungle and how the campmates managed with the basic meals provided.

As viewers are aware, the stars have to survive on a daily diet of rice and beans. Coleen confessed: "The first week I struggled and by day three I had the headache. People were saying before I went in there 'have you started getting yourself off caffeine and this and that' but I didn't do any of that."

She added: "I was so focused on getting everything prepared before I went into the jungle to leave the boys that I didn't actually think about being in the jungle till I got there and when I got there I just thought what have I signed up for, what am I doing here.", reports the Mirror.

"The headache set in obviously from withdrawal from caffeine, sugar and alcohol and then the hunger because we didn't get the stars in the first week. Dean didn't succeed in some of the trials so we were limited on food and the hunger was real."

Coleen elaborated on her experience, saying: "So yeah the first week was a real struggle but then it picked up after that and it wasn't so bad because we started eating. We got used to the rice and beans and we started frying them and doing different things to them but I don't think I'll ever cook rice and beans again."

On another note, Coleen also shared that her 'biggest challenge' was being away from her children for an extended period, which she confessed was one of the main reasons she hesitated to participate in the show. The celebrity mum and wife of former England footballer Wayne Rooney, is a mother to four boys - Kai, 15, Klay, 11, Kit, eight, and Cass, six.

She admitted: "I'm with my boys day in and day out and I'm there for them all the time so that was the biggest challenge for me was to not be there for them and I think that's what has taken me this many years to take part in the show. "She added: "I've got such a close family and friends network around me so I knew that they would be fine no matter what. It seems like a long time, three weeks without family and friends but it's not that long and I knew everything would be ok when I get back home."

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV1 and ITVX at 6am
