Storms went through area
BELLEVIEW, Fla. – Howard Dunalap woke up Wednesday to find a massive oak tree on top of his neighbors’ home at the Whispering Oaks neighborhood in Belleview.
Dunalap spoke to News 6 and believes Tuesday’s storms are to blame.
“Oh that looks real bad, I mean real bad. I’m so thankful they survived after all of that,” Dunalap said.
Dunalap said a family with kids live at the mobile home and appear to be OK from the scary incident.
Dunalap only lives two doors down from where it happened.
“I feel lucky because like I said, I survived, for 24 years, I’ve survived all these hurricanes,” he explained.
It’s not clear how many people were inside the home at the time, but Dunalap said he’s heartbroken to see the damage.
“I felt so sorry for the people. I’m for the people you know? It’s so sad,” he said.
