I'm A Celebrity fans reckon they caught a subtle dig at Dean McCullough before the latest Bushtucker trial.
The audience chose Radio 1's Dean to face the newest challenge, but this time he was joined by McFly's Danny Jones and Coronation Street's Alan Halsall for the Rank Bank. Ant and Dec announced that all campmates would be onlookers since the outcome would affect them too.
Before heading to the trial area, the trio shared their thoughts in the Bush Telegraph. Dean claimed he had an edge due to his extensive trial experience, despite having said 'I'm a celebrity get me out of here' twice.
He also mentioned Danny's useful experience, even though they'd be competing against each other. But viewers sensed a subtle jab at Dean.
Danny called Dean a 'veteran', with a noticeable hesitation before the term. Fans at home speculated he might have been considering a different word, reports OK!
Fans took to social media to react with one posting: "'Dean is an absolute.....veteran' Danny definitely was thinking something else." Another echoed: 'Deans an absolute...veteran' we all know what Danny wanted to say."
Earlier in the show viewers expressed delight that Dean's new camp nickname Houdini, given to him by campmate Melvin following his aversion to his camp chores, had caught on. One viewer commented: "The fact that the camp mates keep referring to Dean as Houdini is killing me lmao."
Another chimed in: "It's a shame Melvin probably won't get the public support because he's actually quite entertaining IMO. His Houdini running joke regards Dean's laziness is brilliant."
I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here continues at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX
