Love Island star Maura Higgins has certainly stirred things up on I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! joining the camp alongside Coleen Rooney, McFly's Danny Jones, singer Tulisa Contostavlos, and dance ace Oti Mabuse among others.
As she got acclimatised to jungle life, Maura opened up during a heart-to-heart about her love life before heading Down Under, amid rumours she's been linked to Strictly's Pete Wicks.
BBC Radio 1's Dean McCullough kicked off the conversation with his own love life update, explaining that he's been seeing someone since July but hadn't slapped a label on it.
Intrigued, Oti enquired about Maura's current romantic status, prompting the 34-year-old to clarify: "I am single, but I was seeing someone before I came in, so I'm not in a relationship."
Reverend Richard Coles chimed in, asking: "Was it exclusive? Or if I've put you on the spot, I'm sorry!" reports the Express.
Maura conceded to a degree of uncertainty about whether her pre-jungle fling was exclusive, suggesting the man in question might be known to her fellow contestants. Pressed by Dean, who asked if she was missing her mystery man, Maura confirmed, "Yeah."
Maura had been romantically linked to Pete Wicks before jetting off to Australia. The duo has been seen cosying up and exchanging kisses, even though Maura had declared herself single prior to joining the show. Pete stirred the gossip pot by rallying his Instagram followers behind Maura earlier this week with an encouraging post.
With rumours rife, Mauras close friend Danika OConnor revealed the truth to OK! Magazine, confirming that the bond between the two telly favourites is nothing more than friendship.
She clarified: "They're just really good friends. Pete is supporting Maura in the jungle and she was supporting him on Strictly. It just shows what a good friend she is. She'll be a good friend no matter what."
Yet, with Maura sharing insights with her campmates, some may wonder if she's hinting at Pete.
Later in the jungle chat, Maura admitted to the others that despite past relationships, she's uncertain she's ever truly been in love, but her most recent romantic interest has felt different, pointing out "[...] he's not an a**hole."
