Fans of I'm A Celebrity were left outraged by a show favourite's departure from the show.
The much-loved ITV series made a comeback on Sunday (December 8) for its thrilling finale, featuring the iconic duo Ant and Dec at the helm once again. This year's jungle escapades brought together celebrities such as Coleen Rooney, GK Barry, Alan Halsall, and Jane Moore, all facing the rugged Australian wild.
After a fortnight filled with outback chaos, it was ultimately Coleen, Danny Jones, and Richard Coles who secured their places in the coveted final round. Yet, there could be only one champion....
In an earlier segment of the episode, Oti Mabuse exited the jungle. The final trio responded with cheers and waves as they bid farewell to Oti before heading back to camp to revel in becoming the finalists of I'm A Celebrity 2024.
An excited Richard exclaimed: "I can't believe I'm one of the final three! I never thought I would make it this far.", reports Plymouth Live. Danny revealed joyously: "It feels amazing, I didn't expect this at all."
Coleen opened up emotionally in the Bush Telegraph, saying: "Knowing that I have made it to the final makes me proud. I'm a proud mum, I'm a proud wife, I'm a proud daughter, it's very rare that I'm proud of myself, so it means a lot. It's very rare that I put myself first, so yeah these are happy tears! ".
However, as the episode progressed, it was Richard Coles who had to leave, with Coleen and Danny just missing the expulsion.
After the shock exit on I'm A Celeb, fans took to X, the platform previously known as Twitter, to express their opinions on the result. Someone raged: "Richard should have won.. fix." Another agreed: "Absolute fix to have Coleen in the final 2." A third expressed: "This is a fix."
Richard's exit comes after his fellow campmate GK Barry, during her exit interview this week, joked how if he didn't win, it was a 'fix'.
In another part of the episode, Danny, Coleen, and Richard faced their last Bushtucker trial titled 'The Towers of Terror. ' The trio started off in the first tower, positioned on their backs with Coleen at the top, Danny in the middle, and Richard at the bottom.
As the trial commenced, they had to pass stars down to each other until they reached the yellow win zone at the base of the tower, all while being accompanied by snakes.
Fortunately, the team completed their final Bushtucker trial, earning a three-course meal and a drink for their last dinner in camp. Reflecting on the experience, Coleen said: "I'm glad it's all over." Danny felt: "Super proud of ourselves, it's been an amazing journey and honestly, what a way to go out! " And Richard added: "I'm immensely proud, but we just don't smell great!"
