I'm A Celebrity fans were left scratching their heads when Tulisa Contostavlos was a no-show on the spin-off programme Unpacked after her departure from the jungle.
Having been the third to leave the camp on Monday's episode (December 2), Tulisa has since removed all mentions of the ITV show from her social media. An insider suggested to The Sun that she had become 'raging' post-exit.
The source revealed: "Tulisa was in high spirits when she left the set, but something appears to have happened that's left her raging."
Viewers have been speculating about the cause of the suspected fallout online, but the star has now spoken out on her reasons for distancing herself from the show. Today (December 4), Tulisa explained on Instagram why she stepped back from I'm A Celebrity, reports Plymouth Live.
In a candid video, she clarified: "I'm just doing a little video to clear a couple of things up. Just so you know, when I came out of the jungle I felt fine first of all, and then that evening my friends went to bed, I was on my Instagram just trying to have a nice little casual scroll at some funny stuff."
She continued: "I was getting a lot of attention, a lot of bombarding in all the most positive way but because it has been a bit of a while for me I can get overwhelmed quite easily and I just started to get a little bit overwhelmed."
"I thought 'Do you know what? I really just need to take a bit of time for me and just chill and this is all feeling just a bit much at the moment.'"
"I'm just going to archive my stuff to do with the jungle and then when the time is right and I've had a little time to process, I'm gonna make my own reels of all my best bits that I really like."
"I just wanted to clear up the reasons why I did that and just be honest. It's ok to feel a little bit overwhelmed, I've been out of the spotlight for a long time and I'm still trying to overcome those things, I've still got my little demons."
She also sought to correct reports suggesting she thought her fellow campers were 'fake', a rumour sparked by her Lorraine show interview. Setting the record straight for her followers, she clarified: "I just want to clarify I do not think any of my campmates are fake."
I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! continues tonight at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX
