Oti Mabuse's other half, Marius Iepure, revealed on ITV's Lorraine that a significant "text" had been omitted from the letter he sent to his wife during her time on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!
The duo, who tied the knot 10 years ago and celebrated the arrival of their first child a year ago, made headlines when Oti left family life with Marius to venture into the jungle.
Despite the challenge of parenting solo while Oti was away, Marius supported her decision wholeheartedly. A touching moment occurred on the show when Oti received a letter from home, mentioning their little one's first steps a detail Marius disclosed wasnt shown on TV.
While speaking to Scottish presenter Lorraine Kelly, Marius shared the couples feelings on managing parenthood with Oti's time in the jungle and the poignant twist about their daughter's milestone that viewers didn't get to hear.
Joining Lorraine through a video call from Australia, where he's currently looking after their young daughter in support of Oti, Marius remarked: "Of course she is missing her. Every mother misses her baby." reports the Express.
Marius revealed additional heartfelt details from his letter to wife Oti Mabuse that weren't broadcast, sharing: "Actually, in the letter that I sent her, there was a little bit more text and I was telling her how she is doing and how she has started to walk but most importantly somehow she gave me that possibility to connect with her on a much deeper level."
The Romanian-born dancer opened up about the profound impact fatherhood has had on him during a conversation with Lorraine: "Mums and babies connect in a different way than dads with babies and now because of this, I think it's a great opportunity for Oti to find her Zen and for me to connect with my daughter on a deeper level."
Lorraine couldn't hide her delight, exclaiming: "Awww," as Marius continued: "I think it's a very interesting experience for both of us." The veteran presenter also highlighted the growing support for Oti telling him: "Now lots of people are saying that they want her [Oti] to win."
She added that just yesterday Tulisa expressed her support on the show, and Melvin echoed the sentiment last night, suggesting a strong public backing for Oti saying: "Tulisa was on this show yesterday and Tulisa said that she wanted Oti to win. Melvin as well said last night that he wanted her to win too, there's this growing swell of people who would actually like to see a Queen of the Jungle, I think she's got a great chance."
In response to the buzz around Oti's chances, Marius maintained a neutral stance, reflecting on the unpredictability of the competition. He said: "I think everybody can win, up to when Jane was out and she was doing so well and then we had Dean who was doing all of those seven challenges, I think."
He further commented: "So I was like, ok why is he out and why is she out? It was really really crazy so for me, everyone can win. She is the Queen of the jungle obviously and she can dance a very good Samba so she is going in the right direction. I'm really hoping that she is going to be in the final of this. That would be huge."
The host responded enthusiastically: "Yeah, I see her there already."
Lorraine airs weekdays on ITV1, from 9am.
