The camaraderie in the jungle has reached new levels during this year's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! as campmates share intimate details about their lives.
In an emotional moment on tonight's episode (Thursday 5 December), McFly's Danny Jones got candid about his estrangement from his father.
While conversing with Oti Mabuse, he revealed his thoughts about changing his middle name, Alan, and confessed: "My dad, he doesn't speak to me."
The topic turned to therapy when Oti enquired, prompting Danny to say: "I did but you can go to therapy, but you still crave your dad and that's what's hard. That's why I get so much satisfaction from Barry."
Danny then delved into fond past memories with his dad, saying: "I had a good relationship with my dad, he was my best mate until he left. I got on with my dad, I loved him to bits."
He reminisced further, adding: "He was amazing yeah, we went to see Bolton Wanderers every weekend, got a Maccy Ds before, I've got great memories."
Describing his father, Danny noted: "He was a hugger, he was a kisser and then when he left us, that's when I had to grow up real fast, I bought my mum's house."
At just 18 years old, Danny tackled adult responsibilities head-on: "I was 18-years-old, I bought myself a flat in London and I bought my mum's house, and I put my sister through university."
Reflecting on how his bandmates supported him through tough times, Oti remarked: "In a way McFly became your dad, they took care of you." to which he agreed wholeheartedly.
As viewers tuned in, the heartfelt confessions struck a chord and fans didn't hesitate to express their emotions on X, previously known as Twitter, reports the Express.
