Police respond to S Frankfort Avenue
VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. – A homicide investigation is underway outside a home in DeLand, according to police.
Investigators were called about a suspicious incident around 7:06 a.m. Thursday at a home in the 100 block of S. Frankfort Avenue.
During the investigation, police said they located a body nearby, adding a suspect has been taken into custody.
Investigators said they believe this was an isolated incident and there is no danger to the public.
DeLand police have not released the deceased person’s identity and said detectives are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
