HD Hyundai Construction Equipment (HCE) said Tuesday it has secured orders for a total of 557 units of construction equipment in the Middle East and Turkey in the first two months of the year.
The company said it won contracts for 333 units from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar, while securing an additional 224 units from Turkey in January and February.
HCE is the construction equipment unit of Korea's shipbuilding-to-energy conglomerate HD Hyundai Group.
The company said its Dubai branch successfully identified demand from large-scale projects in the Middle East and Turkey, offering customized equipment that meet the needs of clients.
The company said it plans to further diversify its portfolio by introducing a new backhoe loader model in May. "We will continue enhancing product competitiveness to solidify our market position in the Middle East," an HCE official said. (Yonhap)
