Gary Haveron issues simple plea as he looks for Larne to turn League form around

Gary Haveron has urged his Larne side to "stick together and keep fighting" as they look to put an end to their winless streak.

The back-to-back champions head to Loughgall tonight having picked up only one point from their last five games.

Saturday's defeat at home to Dungannon Swifts was a sore one for Haveron to take as he felt his side had enough chances to get something out of the game, but he insisted they have to keep working hard to turn it around.

"For long periods on Saturday we asked so many questions, we got in behind time and time again and I can't believe we didn't get a goal, we were just wasteful," said the Larne boss.

"I was heartbroken for the boys to come in at half-time 1-0 down because they played so well the first 35 minutes. Everything seems to be going against us, the one chance Dungannon get they score from.

"When you're winning games like we have done over the last few years, then you come in and you can't wait for the next game and things break for you.

"On the flip side when you're on a bad run everything seems to go against you. We have to stick together, we can't afford could have, should have, would have, we have to turn things into more definites.

"When we get into a good goal scoring position we have to be more clinical and take a little bit more care in our final ball. If we do that we will get results between now and the end of the season. We have to stick together and keep fighting.

"Our backs are against the wall and nobody is shying away from that. We have to come out fighting and people have to step up at different times and keep finding ways of winning football matches.

"We know how tough it will be going to Loughgall, we slipped up there last year. We have to go there, roll our sleeves up and keep believing in ourselves, work hard and try and grind out three points."
