A Georgia educational activist and researcher has been placed on administrative leave after he was caught on camera describing himself as an 'evil salesman' who smuggled critical race theory lessons into school curriculum.

Dr Quintin Bostic was secretly recorded by Project Veritas bragging about circumventing Georgia's April 2022 ban on teaching CRT.

'And [the state] don't even know what's going on,' he said, with a grin.

'I would say I'm a good salesman, but I'm also an evil salesman. Like, so bad.'

He referred to Georgia's governor as an 'idiot'.

Bostic, a program director at Teaching Lab, said he would slyly get material he supported included in lesson plans.

'[Critical race theory] is banned— it's still banned in the schools,' he said.

'And, on top of that, if you don't say the word 'critical race theory,' you can technically teach it.'

'We're teaching diversity. We're teaching love all humans.

'And I'm, behind the scenes, like, 'Teach it like this though. Make sure you say this and use these words and use this book,.''

Critical race theory has become one of the most divisive issues in schools today.

The concept explores the role of race in modern America. Supporters say it is a valuable reassessment of American history, but critics say it teaches white children to feel guilty about the color of their skin.

Georgia's Department of Education said in a statement: 'Attempts to promote or push these ideologies in Georgia schools are illegal under the Protect Students First Act signed into law in 2022.'

Teaching Lab initially defended Bostic.

Describing themselves as 'a non-partisan, non-profit organization that supports teachers with research-backed professional learning that helps improve outcomes for students', the Washington DC-based non-profit said they never sold curriculum in Georgia.

Indeed, a map on their website shows 24 states in which they work - and Georgia is not one of them.

'Critical race theory is not a part of Teaching Lab's professional learning model,' they stated, adding that the views expressed were Bostic's alone.

Project Veritas then released a second clip, in which Bostic claimed that the non-profit's founders were profiting handsomely from the company, and calling CEO Sarah Johnson 'a freaking psychopath'.

Teaching Lab issued a second statement, saying that Bostic has been placed on administrative leave.

'Project Veritas, a widely discredited activist group, released deceptively produced and edited videos of a Teaching Lab employee,' the company said.

'The views expressed by the employee in these recordings are not the views of Teaching Lab, and are inaccurate and regrettable.

'The employee has been placed on administrative leave pending further review.'

Bostic has not commented on the videos.
