Clearwater police say no one hurt
CLEARWATER, Fla. – A mother and her daughter are OK after a tire came off a vehicle and slammed into their windshield Sunday night, according to Clearwater police.
In a post on social media, police said the mother and her daughter were driving on U.S. 19 around 6:30 p.m. Sunday when the tire came off a southbound vehicle and bounced over a median.

Police called the incident a “freak accident” after the tire slammed into the mother’s car windshield, police said.
Photos posted on the Clearwater Police Department’s Facebook page show the extent of the damage, with a majority of the windshield busted out and a portion of the car roof caved in.
The child was in the back seat and thankfully nobody was riding in the front passenger seat, police said.
Investigators said no one was seriously hurt.
