Wedding bells are ringing for a former X Factor finalist from Northern Ireland after he popped the question to his long-term partner this week.
Co Derry's Eoghan Quigg got down on one knee and proposed to Amy Campbell on Thursday during a trip to New York. The singer revealed the news in a sweet video posted on Instagram along with the message: "Today I asked my best friend to marry me and she said YES! 27.2.25".
Amy also took to social media to post a series of photos of the happy couple and show off her diamond engagement ring with the words: "Love you forever @eoghanquigg".

Eoghan, 32, appeared on the reality TV show in 2008 and finished third behind runner-up JLS and winner Alexandra Burke. Just 15 he was known for his “baby face and crazy hair” - but is now a family man as a grown-up dad of four, partner of 10 years to Amy and works as a radio show presenter.
He moved away from music after competing to represent Ireland in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2014 and finishing second. He feels he has “a happy medium” as he still performs with a band at weddings but his “wee family” is the most important thing now.
The performer has thrown himself into family life, with Eoghan and Amy welcoming son Camden in April 2023 and daughter Emmy Belle in April 2021, while Eoghan also helps raise Amy's two children Cooper and Milla from a previous relationship.
Amy and Eoghan, who've been together since 2015, live together with their children in Derry in a home they purchased in 2019.
Speaking last year, Eoghan said he has “so many fond memories” of being a contestant on the X Factor – and considers himself “one of the lucky ones” for having a good overall experience. Despite that, said he would never let his own children go on reality TV – because there is a “lot more negativity around” compared to when he was on the show.
