BLACKFOOT — A 21-year-old former all-star Blackfoot athlete was arrested in Utah last week after being accused of sexually assaulting a minor.

Candon Dean Dahle was arrested on Friday, Feb. 7, in Utah County on a warrant out of Bingham County for lewd conduct with a child. According to extradition documents, the alleged crime was committed in Bingham County.

We have not found any details on this case, nor do there seem to be any official charges in Idaho’s court system yet. According to the Utah County Jail inmate roster, Dahle is still incarcerated in Spanish Fork, Utah, on a no-bond hold.

EastIdahoNews.com reached out to Bingham County Prosecutor Ryan Jolley, who declined to comment on this case.

We also contacted Bingham County Sheriff Jeff Gardner, who has also not returned our request for information about this case.

It’s not clear when Dahle will be extradited from Utah.

Dahle is a senior baseball pitcher at Brigham Young University, in Provo, Utah, but is originally from Blackfoot.

EastIdahoNews.com has submitted public records requests for more information from Bingham County. We will update if we learn more.
