The Owls men’s basketball team, down 39-33 with 12:51 left in regulation, ripped off an 18-2 run to grab a 51-41 lead with 6:10 left and shocked fourth-seeded Tennessee 62-55 in the Sweet 16 at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Thursday night to amdvance to an Elite Eight matchup with third-seeded Kansas State on Saturday.

Blanche Ely graduate Michael Forrest had eight points in the game-turning sequence, including two 3-pointers, and Johnell Davis had yet another huge second half in the NCAA Tournament, with 13 second-half points after only two in the first 20 minutes.
