Wreck happened near Adams Road near Fort Meade
POLK COUNTY, Fla. – At least one person was killed in a crash early Monday on U.S. Highway 98 in Polk County, according to sheriff’s officials.
Deputies responded to the wreck, which involved a semitruck and a transport bus, near Adams Road, not far from Fort Meade.
There were several people injured and at least one fatality, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.

As of 7 a.m., the road was closed in the area.
